Abstract: BACANI, YSUN H. and DIROY, JOSE KENNETH T. Development Plan of College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) Complex at Cavite State University - Main Campus. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Engr. Renato B. Cubilla. The development plan of College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) Complex was conducted at Cavite State University - Main Campus from June 2016 to May 2017. The study aimed to provide a development layout for the CEIT Complex with a general objective of preparing a design of a four-storey civil engineering building. The lot allotted for the development plan has an area of approximately 16,500 m7’, the lot for the four-storey civil engineering building has an area of 6323.0575 m? and the proposed structure has a floor area of 1192.25 m with the highest point from the ground of 1.935 m. The study provided the architectural and structural plan of the proposed building including electrical and plumbing layout. Architectural plans included perspective, floor plans and elevations. Structural plans included structural frames and details of structural members including design of slab, beam, column and footing. The analysis of the individual structural member was obtained using Structural Aided Analysis and Design (STAAD) software in conformance with the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP 2010) and ACI Code standards. The estimated total project direct cost of the proposed civil engineering building is P 49,527,153.00, the cost per square meter is P 10,383.05 excluding the plumbing and electrical cost and the total project cost of P 69,104,345.09 including contractor’s taxes and government expenses. The authors recommended a more comprehensive study and layout of the laboratories for the civil engineering building for the proper use of laboratories and facilities intended for students to fully perform their functions.

The estimated total project direct cost of the proposed civil engineering building is P 49,527,153.00, the cost per square meter is P 10,383.05 excluding the plumbing and
electrical cost and the total project cost of P 69,104,345.09 including contractor’s taxes and government expenses.

The authors recommended a more comprehensive study and layout of the
laboratories for the civil engineering building for the proper use of laboratories and
facilities intended for students to fully perform their functions.
