Abstract: BELTRAN, JUDY ANN S. Effects of tawa-tawa (Euphorbia hirta) Supplementation on Growth and Performance of Broiler Chickens. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Major in Animal Science, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Dr. Mariedel L. Autriz. The study was conducted at the Broiler Project of the Department of Animal Science at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite form February 23- March 27, 2017, to determine the effects of dried tawa-tawa plants on growth performance of broilers in terms of average body weight, cumulative feed consumption, feed conversion efficiency and harvest recovery and to identify the treatment that is most effective in the growth performance of broilers. Ninety-six-day-old broiler chicks were reared until 32 days. The birds were randomly divided into four treatments replicated three times. The treatments were: Tl control, T2- 10g dried tawa-tawa per kilogram of commercial feeds, Treatment 2- 30g dried tawa-tawa per kilogram of commercial feeds and Treatment 3- 50g dried tawa-tawa per kilogram of commercial feeds. All the data were subjected to Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) for Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The results of the study showed that supplementation of tawa-tawa leaf meal had no significant effects on their average body weight, cumulative feed consumption and feed conversion efficiency.
