The participants were 200 undergraduate students selected through proportionate stratified random sampling from the nine colleges of Cavite State University. The data was analyzed using the frequency count, percentage, mean, standard deviation, weighted arithmetic mean and Spearman's Rank Correlation Coefficient. The mean age of the participants was 19 years. Most of them were female and in second and third year of academic levelThe Global Competitiveness of Cavite State University in terms of VMGO, Faculty, Extension and Community Involvement, Library, Physical Plant and Facilities, and Laboratories fell under high competitiveness. On the other hand, Curriculum and Instruction, Support to Students, Research, and Administration were determined as average. In general, the areas of concern attained Average ranking with a mean of 3.35. Each parameter had strengths and weaknesses. The top two "high competitiveness" statements with highest mean rating in each parameter were considered the strengths. All statements under each parameter with "average" rating were considered as the university's weaknesses. The participants' demographic and socio-economic characteristics were, generally, not significant to their perception on the global competitiveness of the university.
