Abstract: Malvataan, Regin Marty M. Free Range Chicken Backyard Production: An Entrepreneurial Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Cristina F. Olo This project was conducted at San Pedro, Santo Tomas, Batangas from February 8, 2017 to April 28, 2017. The project aims to gain more knowledge and enhance skills in free range chicken production in terms of actual operation and management of a free range chicken production project and to determine the profitably of raising free range chickens. The project used one hundred (100) chickens that were purchased at Free Range Central in Antipolo, Rizal, the initial average weight of the chicks is 36.3 g. The feeds and other materials were bought in Tanauan City, Batangas. Ad libitum feeding was practiced. The birds consumed 37 kilogram of chick booster which amounted to P 1,184.00. They also consumed 32 kilogram of chick starter which amounted to P 992.00 and 152 kg Of grower finisher with an amount of P 4,104.00. The total feeds consumed were 221 kg. The birds were also given supplement like malunggay leaves, madre de agua leaves, chili pepper leaves and marigold flowers. After 59 days the chickens weighs an average live weight of 1.3 kg, with an average daily gain of 20.6 grams per day. The birds consumed an average of 2.3 kg of feeds per head, giving a feed conversion ratio of 2.0.
