Abstract: ANONUEVO, WALTHER my Backyard Hog Fattening in Palangue Naic Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Project, Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite May 2017. Adviser- Dr Cristina F. Olo PhD The project aimed to develop entrepreneurial skills in hog fattening by actual operation and management of a backyard hog raising project and determine profitability of the project- This project was conducted at Brgy- Palangue Il Naic, Cavite from February 9 to May 9, 2017- The project used four weanlings purchased from swine miser in Kaytambog Indang, Cavite. They were fed mice a day, 7 am and 4 pm with starter, grower, and finisher mash, and consumed 4, 8, and 4 bags respectively. They were given vitamins and medicines when needed throughout the period of production. Respiratory illness and scouring were encountered and were given Ipil — Ipil leaves and Amoxil The average initial body weight of the weanlings was 14 kg and obtained an average final weight of 89 kg- The average feed intake was 200 kg, with average daily gain of 822 g and feed efficiency of 2.7 The hogs were marketed at P 125 per kg live weight. The total production cost was P 34365 with gross sales of P 44,635.00 obtaining a net income of P 8,981.00- The return on investment was 25.8 0/0.
