Abstract: DE LA CRUZ, FARAH FAYE V. and MORALES, LOU RAYDEN SYD D., BACKYARD HOG FATTENING IN KAYQUIT 3, INDANG, CAVITE: AN ENTREPRENEURIAL PROJECT. Entrepreneurial Project Report. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship. Cavite State University, Cavite, Philippines. May 2017. Adviser: Cristina F. Olo, Ph.D. The entrepreneurial project was conducted at Brgy. Kayquit 3, Indang, Cavite from February to May 2017. A total of 8 hogs were reared for a period of 73 days. With this project, the student entrepreneur was able to gain knowledge and skills and harness the entrepreneurial skills in operating and managing a backyard hog fattening project. The project used eight piglets that were purchased at a local swine fann raisers, the average weight of the piglets is 15.9 kg. The average feed consumption was 150 kg per head and attained a final weight of 77.5 kg. The hogs obtained an average daily gain of 840 g and feed consumption efficiency of 2.43. A total of P61,053.00 was invested in the farm practice project. The total sales amounted to P80,840.00 resulting to a total net income of P 19,787.00. Return of investment (ROI) was computed to be 32.4 percent and breakeven point 58.7 kg or PI0, 105.00
