Abstract: ABAD, CLAUDETTE KISHA V. DEALAGDON, MERELL C. LACSADO, LOUISE P. SIPAT BHEA DARYL R. Sustainable Practices in Selected Resorts in Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Research. Bachelor in Science in Tourism Management Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2018 Adviser. Ms. Felicidad F. Agustin. This study focused on the sustainable practices of selected resorts in Cavite. The study conducted in some areas of Indang, Cavite particularly in Brgy. Kaytambog, Lumampong Halayhay, Mataas na Lupa and in Agusos. Specificially,, the study aimed to: (1) to describe the profile of the resort in terms of, classification of resort total land area; years in the operation, number of cottages; number of pools; number of rooms; and recreation facilities, and (2) to identify the sustainable practices of the resort in terms of: energy conservation; water conservation; waste management, wildlife and biodiversity and; transportation management. The study is limited only in the environmental impact of sustainable practices and not in the socio-cultural relationship. In gathering data, the researchers conducted interviews and surveys among the respondents and visited the selected resorts in Indang, Cavite. The participants in the study included the staff from the selected resorts that have been employed for more than a year. Most of the selected resorts were classified as nature or spring resort and have been operated for a number of years. Most of them have large area and provide accommodation such as room and cottages. Recreational facilities including swimming pools; basketball courts, function rooms, and others were offered. Regarding sustainable practices, the study revealed that most of the selected resorts do not use solar panel to conserve energy. In water conservation, some were not practicing the water conservation practices like rainwater' harvesting and the use of dual flash toilet system. In waste management, some of the resorts were not recycling their wages. Most of the selected resorts do not offer wildlife attraction and does not offer awareness about flora and fauna. Resorts were accessible tint tourists and provide enough parking spaces. Most of them do not have amenities such ride and parks as well as bicycle for hire.
