Abstract: MANALANG, SHIELA MARIE, and PALOMA, JESSON D. Development of Geographic information System (GIS) of Senior High School in the Province of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis Bachelor of Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite May 2017. Adviser: Mr. Mark Philip Sy. The study was conducted to provide a Geographic Information System (GIS) to help the user especially the students to find a school which offers Senior High School. It also aims to show the various strands offered by the schools, to locate schools near the students and to locate what school offers specific strands near them, the study seeks to help the users to locate possible routes from their current location to their destination. The following software were used to develop the system: EITMI„ CSS, JavaScript and PIP as the scripting language, Adobe Photoshop for the design, MySq1 as the database and Google map API for the map. The researchers used the Interative/Incremental Development Process Methodology as their guide in developing the system. They went through different phases to perform different activities that are related to the system development. These include planning, analyzing the system requirements, designing the system, implementation phase and preparing the implementation plan. The system was evaluated by the respondents based on the given criteria: functionality, reliability, usability, user-friendliness. Evaluators were composed of Grade 10 students, IT experts and the Division Office of Trece Martirez staff. The system passed all the given criteria in the evaluation and met all the targeted features and functionality as well as the requirements and its objectives.
