TOLEDO, CHARLIE L and PADERAN, JEFFREY 0.Development of a Dual Purpose Alternator Tester with Battery Charger.Undergraduate Design Project.Bachelor of Industrial Technology Major in Electrical Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May, 2017. Adviser: Mr.Emerson C. Lascano.
The project design was conducted at Tres Cruses, Tanza, Cavite and was evaluated at Cavite State University, College of Engineering and Information Technology under the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology by the instructors and students of Electrical Section of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Technology. The project design was proven useful for the students to test an alternator and charge a battery. The project aimed to design a dual purpose alternator tester and battery charger, construct a dual purpose alternator tester with battery charger, test and evaluate the efficiency of the dual purpose alternator tester and battery charger. When the tester connected the battery to the battery clamp the indicator light turned on if the alternator are still on a good condition and the voltmeter show the battery volts output and once the tester turn on the circuit breaker it started to charge the battery and the indicator light will turn off The voltmeter can indicate the battery supply and it can indicate if the battery are charging or not.
