Piores A study was conducted in (7) Seven selected barangays in General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite, namely: Brgy. Castanos Lejos, Brgy. Castanos Cerca, Brgy. Kaymisas, Brgy. Tabora, Brgy. 1, Brgy. 3, Brgy. Dalusag to determine the Recreational Activities of Selected Senior Citizen in General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite. Specifically, the study described the demographic profile of the senior citizen in selected barangays in General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite; Determine the demographic profile of the respondents; Determine the recreational activities they perform; Determine the recreational activities of senior citizen when grouped according to their demographic profile; Determine the difference between the Level of Involvement of Recreational activities of Senior citizen in General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite; Determine the difference between the perceived effects of selected senior citizens in General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite according to the four dimension of recreational activities. A total of 70 senior citizen served as the respondents of the study. Personal interviews were conducted with the respondents to gather necessary information. Descriptive research design were used to answer the objectives of the study. Findings of the study revealed that majority of Senior Citizen in General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite were female, 60-69 years old and most of them are married. Senior Citizen in General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite were rated as "Always". This signifies that senior citizen were mostly involved with recreational activities. Married respondents do exercises more often compared to single and widowed which found to be the only item which is significantly different. The respondents are much involved in less vigorous physical activities such as walking. In Social activities are much involved in playing with their grandchildren. Most of the respondents read books as there mental activities. Most of the perceived effects of physical activity is that it keeps the body active. The perceived effects of social activities is to stay associated to relatives or loved ones. Lessens boredom and gives enjoyment are the perceived effects of emotional activities. Mental activities exercises the memory.
