Abstract: BAUTISTA, ROJCHEL P. Backyard flog Raising in Buna Lejos II, Indang, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major In Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser. Mariedel L. Autriz Ph.D. This project was conducted at Ligas, Buna Lejos II, Indang, Cavite from January 11 to April 27, 2018. The project aimed to provide an opportunity for student entrepreneurs to practice management techniques necessary for a profitable swine enterprise: apply the skills learned and the knowledge about how to raise and handle a backyard hog raising, and evaluate the different swine production parameters in relation to the profitability of the enterprise. The four (4) hogs were provided with proper care and management during the 97 day-rearing period. At the end of the project, the hogs with an average initial weight of 10 kg ended up weighing an average weight of 80 kg with an average daily gain of 721.65g. The average feed consumption was 169.25 kg and the feed conversion efficiency was 2.42. A total of P33, 269.12 was used in the project operation. The net income computed was P6, 870.88, giving a return of investment (R01) of 20.65%.
