Abstract: ESTOSANE, YVONNE CLAIRE A., HIMANG, SHARMAINE R, JECIEL, CHRISTIAN R. Effectiveness of Training and Development programs to Employee Performance in Selected BM Companies in Pasay, City. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management. Cavite State University. lndang, Cavite. June 1018. Adviser: Mr. Zandro M. Catacutan. This study was conducted in order to determine the effectiveness of training, and development programs to employee performance in selected BPO companies in Pasay, City. It aimed to determine the socio-demographic profile of the employees in selected BPO Companies in Pasay, City, the training and development programs offered by BPO Companies in Pasay, City; the methods used to deliver the training and development; the level of effectiveness of training and development programs; the level of performance of employees in selected BPO Companies in Pasay, City; and the relationship between training and development programs and employee performance. The participants of the study were 385 rank and file employee from six companies in selected areas in Pasay, City. The questionnaire was used to gather data front the participants. The items were adapted from the stud) of Gowri Shankar, (2011) and tialanoti and Priporas (2009). Mean, frequency count, standard deviation, and percentage were used to describe the answer for socio-demographic profile. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SASS s. 23) was used to analyze the responses collected from the questionnaire. Spearman rank correlation coefficient was used to determine the relationship between variables. Based on the results for the characterization of the participants. 56% of the participants were male while 44% of them were female; their age ranged from 18 to 58 years: 75% were single. Moreover, 78% of the participants rendered services in the company for 1 to 5 years already and 88% were the processing executives which included the customer service representatives, bill review analyst. Technical support representatives, sales agent, sales officer, sales representatives, sales support officer, and senior agent. The result revealed that the relationship of training and development programs used by the companies and employee performance were highly significant. It says that the training and development programs are effective to the performance of the employees. It also means that the training programs helps to improve their skills and abilities for them to be more competitive.
