JASON ORENSE. and ALFRED MUSISI SSENYONGA. The Record Management System for the Faculty and Staff Development Office of Cavite State University. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. January 2018. Adviser: Charlotte B. Carandang
The development of a record management for the faculty and staff development office of Cavite State University was done for various reasons specifically; to help the office monitor all its scholars, secondly, to provide more accessible information through a website about the faculty and staff development office and how a scholar would avail a scholarship and finally to help the faculty and staff development office (FSDO) to have a centralized repository system for all their data to avoid data loss. During the development, the system consisted of a number of modules in order to meet the desired qualities or the primary goals of the office. There are around 5 modules such as; the Account Management Module, Record Management ,Report module which is a sub module of the Accounting Module and finally the Monitoring Module which was the most important jest in creating the system. The methodology used by the researchers was the Agile development methodology. This methodology was keenly chose by the researchers and found to be fit for the development of the record management system. It consists of five phases: planning/requirement phase, analysis and design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. 25 (Faculty) participants were evaluated from the College Information Technology, College of Arts and Science and five (5) participants from the faculty and staff development office in Cavite State University. They evaluated the system based on its functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, and maintainability. The results were tabulated, analyzed, and statistically treated using mean and standard deviation. Based on the results, the system was assessed as excellent which proves that the objectives and requirements of the system were achieved and can be a solution to the identified problems of the clients.
