GELUZ, DALLIE JOIE S. and REMOTO, SHAIRA B. Development of Management Information System for Barangay Calumpang Cerca, Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information System. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2018. Adviser: Mrs. Charlotte B. Carandang.
This study was conducted from August 2017 to March 2018 at Cavite State University- Main Campus to develop a management information system for Barangay Calumpang Cerca, Indang Cavite that will help them in managing their organizations information and improve their services. Specifically, it aimed to: 1. produce a system that will easily store, update and secure the data of the residents within the community; 2. monitor derogatory records of barangay residents for the security and safety of the barangay; 3. produce a form/certificate and report needed by the residents and officials; and 4. produce a system that will consolidate all the payments made. The Iterative Model was used as the methodology of the system. To implement the system, PHP was used as a programming language and MySQL used as the database. For the evaluation of the system 10 IT experts and 20 respondents coming from 10 barangay officials and 10 residents of the organization evaluated the system and the result were collected through an evaluation form based on ISO 9126. Based on the overall evaluation result, the system was judged to be excellent in all software quality criteria such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability and user-friendliness. Upon the completion of the study, the proponents concluded that this would be a solution for the problems that the organization encountered in terms of managing information.
