Abstract: TADIQUE, MICHELLE H. 'A La Ferme: An Android Mobile Game for Caring of Livestock Animals. Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. January 2018. Adviser: Ms. Charlotte B. Carandang. `A La Ferme': An Android Mobile Game for Caring of Livestock Animals was conducted in the Department of Animal Science in Cavite State University. The study aimed to develop software that would help the users to apply their skills in proper handling and caring of farm animals through mobile game in a more interactive way. This aimed to (1) develop a game module with tasks that will let the user perform activities of proper handling of an animal anytime; (2) construct manual a module that contains lectures about Livestock and Poultry production that will serve as a reviewer for the user; and (3) develop a game module with task and quizzes that will let the user play while actually learning in the process. Iterative Development Process Model was used in the development of the system. The following phases were used for the step-by-step process: Planning Phase, Requirements Phase, Analysis and Design, Implementation Phase, Testing Phase, Evaluation Phase and Deployment Phase. The participants consisted of 49 students and one Department Chair of the Department of Animal Science with a total of 50 participants. In developing the software, Unity 5.5.0f3 software was used as the game's platform on developing the whole game. C# and JavaScript were used as the main programming language for coding the script using Mono Develop. SketchUp 2017 software for character modeling and rigging was used. Adobe photoshop CS6 was used in creating the icons and images used in the system. The software was interpreted as "excellent" by the participants in all criteria, meaning they were satisfied with the software. The software was successfully evaluated and all the objectives were fulfilled. Based on the results of the tests performed, the software was viable solution to all identified problems of the participants.
