Floating Island Cake de Cavite operated for 88 days, from January 11, 2018 to April 10, 2018. This Entrepreneurial Development Project (EDP) was conducted at Tagaytay City. The main objective of Floating Island Cake was to enable the students to apply the knowledge learned in the course to actual business operation. Specifically, Floating Island Cake aimed to: (a) determine the profitability of Floating Island Cake; (b)describe the production and marketing activities of the Floating Island Cake; and (c) identify the problems encountered in operating a dessert business and providing appropriate solutions. The business was in the form of partnership. An initial capital of P 30,000.00 was :qually shared by the three entrepreneurs. Floating Island Cake offered a three layer dessert consisting of meringue, leche flan and ube and it is in a foil container with clear cover.To promote the business, the entrepreneurs used interne marketing, personal selling, and even sales promotion in the form of discounts and raffle promos. For the 88 days operation, the enterprise generated total sales of P77,430.00. After deducting the operating expense, a net income of P30,419.41 was generated.
