The study investigated and examined the influence of disaster risk management practices on readiness of employees of selected hotels in Tagaytay City to have a better workplace condition for the employees and help to minimize the effects of disasters. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the demographic profile of employees and hotels; the current disaster risk management practices they had and the level of readiness of hotels on disaster risk management practices and disaster risks. The significant differences of disaster readiness and disaster risk management practices of hotels when grouped according to their star-ratings and the significant relationship between disaster readiness and disaster risk management practices of selected hotels in Tagaytay City were tested. Descriptive and correlational methods of research were used in the study. The data were collected from 234 employees that are at least one year in service in the hotels. Results showed that employees of the food and beverages position were mostly in demand in hotels in Tagaytay City and most of them were one to three years in service. Majority were male. The selected hotels in Tagaytay City have excellent and well-implemented disaster risk management practices. The hotels had very high level of readiness in the disaster risk and in the disaster risk management practices. Their employees had very level of readiness in the disaster and in the practices as well. There was no significant difference on the readiness of hotels based on their star- Things. There was no significant difference on the disaster risk management practices of hotels based on their star- ratings. There was a significant relationship between readiness’s on the disaster risk management practices of selected hotels in Tagaytay City.
