Abstract: JENAMIEN ROXYN C. REBUYA, EDD CHRISTIAN S. DIONISIO & JEROME S. GUEVARRA. Utilization of Multinomial Response Data to Compare Limit and Probit Model: An Analysis of Students' Satisfaction of Cavite State University Campuses’ Facilities. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with specialization in Statistics. Cavite State University — Main Campus, Indang, Cavite. Adviser Ms. Bernadette P. Destura. This study aimed generally to compare Logic and Probit model to determine which method is more appropriate with analyzing multinomial response date, and to determine the Cavite State University satisfaction rating for the University s facilities For the purpose of the study, the researchers used primary data to estimate the logit and probit model. They conducted large scale survey to capture the satisfactory rating of the students of Cavite State University's facilities. 100 respondents per campus and General Trias, Naic and Trece Martirez were not included to avoid bias on respondents' satisfaction rating because the facilities for the said campuses were limited.. Based on the conclusions derived from the data gathered and computed using ordinal probit, age, classification student status and year level play an important factor on the satisfaction rating of students on CVSU campuses' facilities. Among the predictors, student's classification and student's status were the most significant predictors affecting the satisfactory rate of the student based on conclusion, based on the estimated value and Wald test. The AIC/SC statistics were applied to compare the logit and probit regression models. These statistics were computed using the log- likelihood values of the models, and clearly stated that Logit model was better than probit model according to the AIC and SC Statistics.
