Abstract: JAYSON C. SAVILLA, ANGELU S. ARNALDO, & ROSEMARIE E. LUMBRE. Solid Waste Generation in the Province of Cavite: A Spatial and Multiple Regression Analyses Approach. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with specialization in Statistics. Cavite State University--Main Campus, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Prof. Analyn A. Mojica. This study generally aimed to ascertain the solid waste generation in Cavite using Spatial and Multiple Regression analyses. Specifically, it aimed to develop a multiple regression equation of total waste generation for both urban and rural type of local government units determine if significant differences exist among the means of type of wastes, and analyze the spatial distribution of type of solid wastes. The researchers used secondary data on solid waste generation in the year '2015 from the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office, secondary data on literacy from the Philippine Statistics Authority — Cavite, and secondary data on number of establishments from the Department of Trade and Industry — Cavite. Based on the conclusion derived from the data and analyzed using spatial and multiple regression techniques, the significant factors affecting the solid waste generation sire population and number of junkshops. Significant differences exist on the means of type of wastes. This further indicates that the volume of waste generation differ significantly according to type of wastes. Lastly, the City Bacoor had the biggest volume in total waste generation.
