The entrepreneurial project was conducted at Calumpang Cerca, Indang, Cavite from December 31, 2017 to April 22, 2018. This entrepreneurial project aimed to expose the student to actual activities in the field of animal production, apply all the knowledge and skills they learned from various subjects taken and gain profit from hog raising.
The average initial weigh of 4 piglets was 10.25 kg and the feed consumption of 4 hogs was 650 kg. The total production cost was ₱33,778.00 with the gross sales of ₱36,376.00 has a net income of ₱2,598.00. The return investment was 7.69%.
In the 114 days of raising hogs, the entrepreneurial project helped the student to expose and do different activities in the field of animal production and by solving the different problems encountered in doing this kind of entrepreneurial project. Also, the student entrepreneur applied all the knowledge and skills by proper care and management of hogs, by correct ways of injecting in intramuscular part behind of the base of the ear of the hog that they learned from various subjects taken.
