Abstract: MAGAAN DEXTER F. "Backyard Hog Raising in Brgy.Banaba Lejos, Indang Cavite. An entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production, CAFENR Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. May 2018. Adviser; Henry I. Rivero, MSc. This hog fattening project was conducted at Brgy. Banaba Lejos, Indang, Cavite from February 06 2018 to April 26, 2018. The project aimed to provide knowledge and skills in actual backyard hog fattening project; determine the profitability of the hog fattening project and earn profit from hog fattening. The hog production enterprise was conducted 4 weanling piglets that were purchased at Brgy. Buna Cerca, Indang Cavite and has an average initial weight of 16.75kg. The feeds were bought at Pedong poultry supply and 3D poultry supply in Indang, Cavite. They were fed three (3) times a day. The project involved operations from preparation of pig pen, purchase of stocks and feeds, feeding management, harvesting and marketing. The price of the hogs is P130.00/kg live weight and was sold of the market in Indang, Cavite. After 80 days the hogs had an average final weight of 81.25 kg, gave an average daily gain of 775 g. The average feed conversion efficiency was 2.35 and the hogs consumed an average of 162.50 kg of feeds. The project had a total production cost of P35,712.05 and the gross income was amounted to P42,380.00. The net income was P6.667.95 and the return on investment (ROI) was 18.67%.
