A study assessed the level of awareness of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus on Sexual Harassment. This study was conducted in terms of the demographic profile of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Camps, and determine the level of awareness of the selected students, faculty and staff in terms of Physical Harassment, Verbal Harassment and Psychological Harassment, and also to know if there a significant relationship between demographical profile and the level of awareness students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University — Main Campus on sexual harassment. A self-made questionnaire was used as a tool in this study. Stratified random technique and systematic random technique was used two hundred ninety eight (298) students, one hundred nine (109) faculty and seventy-three (73) employees at Cavite State University Main-Campus. Descriptive method was used in analyzing the data. Base on the data gathered, important findings were drawn: As the demographic profile of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus, the majority of the age of the selected student are fall in the bracket of 18 to 19 years old with the frequency of 197 (66.1%), out of two hundred ninety eight 263 selected student, 129 (26.9%) were female and most of them 169 (35.2%) were male.
Most of the age of the faculty in Cavite State University Main-Campus fall in the bracket 36 to 40 years old with the frequency of 32 (29 4%),out of seventy-three (73) faculty respondents, 53 (11.0%) were male and most of them 56 (11.7%) were female. In the other hand, the age of the employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus fall in the bracket of 31 to 35 years old with the frequency of 27 (37.0%), the total respondents of the employees are one hundred nine (109), the 32 (6.7%) were female and the highest number of sex is 41 (8.5%) were male. In general, the level of awareness of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus on Sexual Harassment in term of Verbal Harassment was interpreted as Fully Aware, with a total mean score of 4.36. In the indicator two that sexual assault, and the lowest mean score of 4.02 in the Indicator eight mimicking of a sexual nature about the way a person walks, talk, sits, etc. with the interpretation of aware. On the other hand, the level of awareness of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus on Sexual Harassment in term of Physical Harassment was interpreted as Fully Aware, with a total mean score of 4.11. In the indicator seven attempted rape, and the lowest mean score of 3.31 in the Indicator one cheek pinching. with the interpretation of neutral. Thus, the level of awareness of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus on Sexual Harassment in term of Psychological Harassment was interpreted as Fully Aware, with a total mean score of 4.38. In the indicator four winked maliciously, and also the lowest mean score of 4.42 in the Indicator two displaying obscenely in front of you, have the interpretation of filly aware.
The overall level of awareness of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus on Sexual Harassment with the total means of 4.30 fully aware. Based on the result, the significant relationship between the demographic profile of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus and the level of awareness on sexual harassment in terms of Physical Harassment, Verbal Harassment and Psychological Harassment shows no significant relationship, only the demographic profile of selected student in terms of sex has significant value of 0.014. Therefore, the null hypothesis that there is no significant relationship between the demographic profile and the level of awareness of the selected students, faculty and employees of Cavite State University Main-Campus on sexual harassment was accepted.
