Abstract: ANGCAYA, NEIL NIXON B., MATILLA, FLOYD ANTHONY, and PABLO, JOHN PAUL C. Development of Management Information System of Amadeo Fire Station, Amadeo, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Prof. Gladys G. Perey. This study was conducted from August 2018 to June 2019 in Amadeo Fire Station, Amadeo, Cavite, to develop a management information system for Amadeo Fire Station, Amadeo, Cavite that aimed to help to manage the difficulty in management of records, ease the generating necessary files and give announcements to the residents of Amadeo. Specifically, it aimed to: 1) design a management information system for Amadeo Fire station; 2) create a system that has six modules; 3) test the system using unit and integration testing; and 4) evaluate the system according to the standards of ISO 25010. The researchers developed that system using Java NetBeans, XAMPP MySQL, and SMS gateway.me following the Iterative Model development paradigm. The system has six modules: account, transaction, calendar, employee, SMS, and report generation that can be accessed by the administrator and user of the system. It was assessed using unit and integration tests. The system was evaluated by a total of 13 respondents composed of 10 faculty members of the Department of Information and Technology and three staff of Amadeo Fire Station. The system obtained an overall mean of 4.81 with descriptive interpretation as excellent signifying that the software passed and was able to comply with all the requirements as it met its objective. The researchers concluded that the study can help improve the process of transaction of the organization. The system was recommended to have a mobile version of the system to make portable so the user can access it everywhere, connect the municipal MIS to the Regional Office for faster submission of the reports and online submission of the requirements for fire safety evaluation clearance (FSEC) and fire safety inspection certificate (FSIC) where they can log in to the website.
