This study was conducted to determine the satisfaction level of the athlete to sports
facilities and equipment in Cavite State University, Main Campus. It aimed to identify the availability of sports facilities and equipment and the satisfaction of the athletes to sports facilities and equipment. The participants of the study were 129 athletes of Cavite State University.
Descriptive method was used and the chief instrument was the survey questionnaire. The Study found that most of the athlete-participants were women when grouped according tosex, while most of them belonged to the age bracket of 19 to 20 years old. Majority had been playing within 3 to 4 years and most of the participants had been playing individual or dual type of sports.
In terms of the availability of sports equipment and facilities, result shows that athletics had a good and available sports equipment and facilities. Next in the ranking are the equipment and facilities for volleyball and basketball. It was also found that there was no significant difference in the perception of these athlete when they grouped according to demographic characteristics. It was also found that the athletes were satisfied in terms of facilities and equipment in the campus. The study recommends the school must periodically monitor the status of sports facilities and equipment for the convenience in the training of athletes. Outdated equipment must be replenished with new ones. Additional budget must be allocated for repair or renovation of facilities and replenishment of old equipment. Study must be done to know the relationship of the status of facilities and equipment to the level of performance of athletes.
