This research study aimed to analyze the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) initiatives on selected manufacturing firms in Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: 1.) determine the business profile of the company in terms of type of industry, nationality of the owner, number of employees, years in operation, and ISO certification; 2.) identify the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) initiatives in terms of environmental policy and environmental objectives, environmental aspects and environmental impact, compliance obligations, environmental performance monitoring and management review; 3.) determine the effects of environmental management system initiatives in firm's business performance; and 4.) identify the significant differences on environmental management system initiatives of different company when group based on business profile. In analyzing the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) initiatives, a descriptive survey was utilized using a questionnaire answered by the participants to achieve the objectives of the study. To ensure the validity of the instrument, it was pre-tested to ten manufacturing firms in Cavite. The outcome of the validation led to the improvement of the items and logical organization of the content. The participants of the study were the pollution control officers and employees who have complete knowledge on the environmental management system of the manufacturing firms. Purposive sampling was used in choosing the participants wherein only those pollution control officers and employees who have complete knowledge on the environmental management system fit in the research criteria were selected. The researchers ensured that the information gathered from the participants will be treated confidentially and will be disposed properly after the accomplishment of the study. Based on the results, it revealed that most of the participants were in metal and electronics manufacturing industry, Japanese owners, has 200-299 employees, 1 to 10 years in operation and has ISO certification. The environmental management system initiatives were always applied in the company and very ready for ISO 14001 certification. The result of Pearson correlation was more than 0.5 which means environmental management system initiatives has a strong effect on firm's business performance. The significant value of the result of one-way a nova was more than 0.05 proving that there is no significant differences on environmental management system when participants are grouped based on business profile.
