Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Dr. Marissa C. Lontoc. This study conducted from August 2018 to May 2019 to assess the crime awareness and level of fear of crime in Indang, Tanza, Amadeo, Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: assess the socio-demographic profile of the participants; assess recorded crime rate in Indang, Tanza, Amadeo, Cavite; assess the crime awareness of the participants towards the index crimes and non-index crimes, assess the level of fear of crime of the participants in terms of crime victimization and crime risk, the significant relationship of the socio-demographic profile, level of crime awareness and level fear of crime of the participants and the significant relationship between the crime awareness and level of fear of crime of participants.Quantitative survey research method was used in the study. Systematicsampling technique was used to identify the total participants. The total participants were 450 residents from Municipality of Indang, Tanza, Amadeo, Cavite. The questionnaire was adopted to previous researchers Chou, et al., (2017) served as the main gathering tool of this study. Based on the result of the study, the recorded crime rate in Indang, Tanza, Amadeo, Cavite in terms of index crimes, Physical Injury got the highest recorded crime with a total of 77 in Indang. In Tanza Rape was the highest recorded crime with a total of 13 However, in Amadeo Physical Injury got the highest recorded crime. With a total of 28 While in terms of non-index crimes, R A 9165 known asDangerous Drugs Act of 2002 got the highest recorded in Indang got a total of 67 In Tanza got a total of 195 while in Amadeo got a total of 27. The assessment of level of crime awareness of participants in terms of index crimes and non-index crimes it shows the total mean score got 3.09 with verbal interpretation of "aware". The data shows that most the participants are aware about crimes in terms of index and non-index crimes. Likewise, the assessment of level of fear of crime in terms of crime victimization and crime risk it shows the total mean score of 2.50 with verbal interpretation of "Seldom" It means that some. participants seldom think the possibility of becoming a victim and risk of a crime in their community. The null hypothesis, there is significant relationship between the sociodemographic profile of the participants and their level of crime awareness. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected which means they are aware of different types of crimes. Meanwhile, the null hypothesis, there is a significant relationship between the socio-demographic profile of the participants and their level of fear of crime. Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected it means most of the participants are affected regarding of their demographic profile. They are aware of the different types of crimes and think the possibility of becoming a victim of crime. Generally, there is a significant relationship between level of crime awareness and level of fear of crime. The level of crime awareness of the participants of the study is aware and it's rejected the hypothesis. It means that most of the participants are aware in index crimes and non-index crimes. Based on the findings and conclusion drawn, socio- demographic profile has a significant relationship in level or crime awareness and level of fear of crime, the researchers conclude that more female are afraid to be victimized and Sociodemographic profile such as age, sex, CIVII status, educational attainment and economic status affects the level of crime awareness’ also the level ol' fear of crime
