A study was conducted to determine the socio-demographic characteristics of the small-scale grocery store owners; determine the business profile of the small- scale grocery stores; determine the inventory management practices of the small- scale grocery store in terms of: first-in first-out, last-in first-out; compute the reorder | point of the small-scale grocery stores; determine which varieties of grocery items are fast moving and slow moving based on reorder point; and determine the problems encountered in inventory management and recommend feasible solutions to those problems identified. The study was conducted in selected cities of Cavite. The participants of the Study were the small-scale grocery store owners who had an operating capital that ranged from P100,000 to P1,000,000. Purposive Sampling was used to identify the participants. One hundred small-scale grocery store owners participated in the study. Majority of the small-scale grocery stores had 1 to 5 employees (86%) and more than half were operating business for 1 to 8 years (54%). More than half (66%) of the small-scale grocery stores had an operating capital that ranged from P100,000 to P299,999. Data used in the study were obtained through personal interviews with the 100 small-scale grocery store owners in selected Cities of Cavite, namely: General Trias City, Dasmarinas City, and Tagaytay City. Frequency count, mean, percentage, range, and ranking were used in the analysis of data.
