Abstract: TRIAS, JOSHUA U. Swine Production in Barangay Kaytambog, Indang, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Entrepreneurial Development Project report. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Dr. Irvin dL Matel. This project was conducted at Barangay Kaytambog, Indang, Cavite from January 20 to April 27, 2018. The project was conducted for the student entrepreneur to (1) gain a thorough understanding of swine production management practices through actual activities; (2) identify the different problems related to swine raising: and (3) determine the profitability of raising swine. The four fattening hogs were provided with proper care and management for the whole 97 days of rearing period. At the end of the project, the hogs with an average initial weight of 17.75 kg gained an average final weight of 93.87 kg with an average daily gain of 784 g. The average feed consumption was 189.62 kg, and the feed conversion efficiency was 2.49. A total of P 37,933 was used in the project operation. The computed net income was P 10,503.92 giving a return on investment (ROI) of 27.69 percent.
