Abstract: ROJINI A. AND LABOSTRO, EMY FLOR G. Stress Resiliency Level liserestional Activities Participation Among Working Women in the Cavite University — Main Campus, Undergraduate Thesis.Bachelor in Sports and onal Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Mr. Victor F. Piores The main objective of the study was to determine the stress resiliency level recreational activities participation among working women in the Cavite State University -Main Campus. Specifically, the study aimed to; 1. describe the hic characteristics of working women in terms of age, marital status, income, household size, and job classification; 2. determine the participants' activity involvement; 3. determine the respondents' frequency, duration, and reasons in participation on recreational activities; 4. determine the stress of the respondents; 5. determine if there is significant relationship between resiliency level and recreational activities participation; and 6. determine if ss a significant relationship between characteristics in the stress resiliency level octal activities participation among working women in the Cavite State — Main Campus. The study was conducted in the Cavite State University — Main Campus, Cavite, Their participants were all working women of the university. The used was a modified and an adapted survey questionnaire composed of Part l was adapted from the study of Bucad (2008) designed to generate about the respondents' characteristics. Moreover, frequency, duration of n, type, and the reasons for recreational activities participation were Part 2 was formulated to identify the level of resilience under stress of Is. A questionnaire adapted from Siebert (2013) was used. Participant’s Educational activities involvements were employed in this study: The statistical tools used in the study were the percentage, weighted mean, and Chi Square test of association. Using the Chi — square test, the relationship of recreational activities participation activities participation to stress resiliency level resulted to a chi — square value of 27.89 which was found to be greater than the critical value of 15.51 at 0.05 level of significance. Hence, the null hypothesis was rejected. This obtained a significant relationship between the two variables. In addition, the relationship of demographic characteristics of the participants to their stress resiliency level showed that age, marital status, household size, and income had no significant relationship. On the other hand, job nature was found to be significantly related to the stress resiliency level of the participants, the basis for this was the comparison of the computed chi — square for each characteristic with the critical value of x2. Moreover, using Chi — square test of association, it was determined that age, marital status, household size, job classification, and monthly income were significantly related to the participants' participation to since their Chi — square computed values were found above the critical value at 0.05 significance level. Hence, variables were significantly related with each other. It is recommended that the working women of the Cavite State University — Main Campus be encouraged to be engaged in any recreational activity for their own betterment and development especially in the workplace. The reasons why women do not participate in any recreational activity could be explored in hope of enticing them to do so. A study could be conducted in the future to know the strength of correlation between the participant's demographic characteristics and their recreational activities. Also, studies may be conducted to determine the comparison between those who have recreational activities and those who are not into it. Likewise, studies may be in the future to know the stress resiliency level and recreational activities of working men in the Cavite State University Symposia and seminars Importance of recreational activities to stress resiliency development among working could be initiated. They should find time to engage in any activities whether it would be for free or not
