Abstract: Fajelga, Mary Ann Corina A., Rivera Roi John M., Masenas, Lester E, Overhead Sports as Cross Training of Arnis Varsity Player in Cavite State university. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Sports and Recreational Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. December 2018. Adviser: Prof. Victor F. Piores. This study is entitled 'Overhead Sports as Cross Training of Arnis Varsity Players In Cavite State University" was conducted to determine benefits of overhead sports to Arnis varsity players in Cavite State University. Specifically, it determined (1) demographic profile of the participants (2) the degree of agreement of the arnis varsity on Overhead Sports as Cross Training for Arnis varsity Players in Cavite State University. (3) Significant difference between the degree of Agreement on Overhead Sports as Cross Training of arnis varsity players in cvsu when they grouped according to their demographic characteristics. Descriptive methods were used to gather and interpret data taken through a variety of instrument which is the survey questionnaire where data from the participants are collected to describe the actual situation to be able to come up with expected output. In interpreting the pulse of the 15 selected participants, the researchers used the mean and standard deviation as statistical tools. As for the demographic profile of the respondents, the results of the study revealed that more than 60% of the respondents are male and the other 40% are female, most of the respondents are in second year level, this is followed by those 3rd year level which is 3 out of 15 used in the study, 4th year respondents comprise of the total respondents while the remaining are in the freshmen year. The result of the study revealed that after computing and analyzing the results, the study showed the benefits of Overhead Sports as cross training for athletes are established facts already for the arnis athletes of CvSU, they showed high agreement that Overhead Sports is a good cross-training for them, They strongly believed that Overhead Sports increase their physical skills; that it is highly recommended for individual Sports like Arnis; it is uses a variety of stretching exercises; it opens creation of new techniques; gives room for improvement; and makes fast response and adaptability. The agreement of the arnis athletes on overhead sports as their cross-training did not change even when they are grouped according to their demographic characteristics. Even the athletes are grouped between gender, year level, and no. of playing years or even when they are grouped within each characteristic, the agreement they showed towards Overhead sports as cross training did not vary, they still remained to in high agreement.
