The Laboratory Manual on Forensic Ballistics provides a plethora of basic and hands-on activities in the determination of legal evidence especially as concerned with the identification of firearms, ammunition, bullets and cartridge cases. The Manual covers tests involving application of procedures and methods of collection and preservation of ballistics evidences efficiently and effectively. It focused on the forensic examinations of physical evidences found in the crime scene as submitted by police investigators. The goals of the lessons are to allow the students of the Criminology Program to become familiar with the principles, techniques and methodologies used by forensic specialists in firearm identification and accomplishing forensic ballistics report. Each of the activities in the laboratory manual features a separate hands-on experiment and includes lesson objectives, required materials/equipment and procedures that will help students master the practical application of the theoretical knowledge of forensic ballistics. The practical hand-on activities coupled with lectures and demonstrations will lead students of the Criminology Program to be future experts in forensic firearms and ballistics. --Introduction of the book.
