DIGMA, GEMMA M. , Applied Research IV (Agricultural Science Curriculum) , Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, March 1994. "GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF ANTHURIUM (Anthurium andreanum Linn. AS AFFECTED BY DIFFERENT LEVELS OF AZOLLA . Adviser; Mrs. Eleanor G. Ersando
A study entitled "Growth Performance of Anthurium (Anthurium andreanum Linn. ) as Affected by Different Levels of Azolla" was conducted at the researcher' s residence atLumampong Balagbag ,Indang, Cavite from June 17, 1993, to November 27, 1993, to determine the effects of azolla as fertilizer on the growth performance of anthurium. It also aimed to find out which I eve Is of azolla best enhanced the growth of anthurium.
A total of 00 anthurium suckers of Kaumana variety was purchased from an anthurium grower in Kayquit, Indang , Cavite. I t was arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications an Each treatment, consisted of five samples. The treatments were.
T1 (Complete fertilizer : 14-14-14). T2 (100 grams of azolla), T3 (125 grams of azolla), and T4 ( 150 grams of azolla)
Highly significant result was obtained in the average length of leaves, while significant results were obtained in average number of leaves, average width of leaves, and number of suckers produced.
It was observed and proven in this study that T 3 (125 grams of Azolla) is the best treatment as far as growing
anthurium is concerned,
