ISUG , JUDITH H., Applied Research IV agricultural Science Curriculum) p Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, March 19880 THE EFFECT OF SOAKING DURATION ON GERMINATION OF GALO (Anacolosa luzoniensis) SEEDS. Adviser: Alejandro Mojica
The study was conducted to determine if soaking duration can affect the germination of galo seeds.
One hundred twenty (120) seeds were gathered and were soaked at different duration. These were the following : 1 — control, T 2 — 6 hours, 3 — 12 hours, 4 — 24 hours, 5 — 48 hours. There were three (3) replications and eight seed per replication.
The result of this study showed that seeds soaked on warm water did not germinate while seeds not soaked before planting resulted to 89% germination 0 It took 4205 days for the unsoaked seeds to germinate with the roots producing an average length of 6.34 centimeters et 90 days after sowing.
