GUEVARRA, MARICAR E,, Applied Research IV (Agricultural Science Curriculum); Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, March 1989, "Growth Response of Anthurium to Different Forms of Fertilizers." Adviser: Mr, Alejandro C, Mojica
The study entitled, "Growth Response of Anthurium to Different Forms of Fertilizers", was conducted at Kayquit, Indang, Cavite from July 17, 1988 to December 31, 1988 in order to evaluate the growth response of anthurium to different forms of fertilizers and to determine which form of fertilizer is best in inducing growth of anthurium plants,
A total of one hundred twenty (120) anthurium plants of Kaumana variety purchased from Los Banos, Laguna were arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications and eight treatments, Treatments included: T, (Control), Tz (Chicken tea manure), T3 (Hog tea manure), T, (Horse tea manure), Ts (Granular 14-14-14 fertilizer), Te Liquid 14-14-14 fertilizer), % (Albatros foliar fertilizer) and Tg (A-Growell liquefied fertilizer).
Highly significant results were obtained in the average plant height, average number of leaves, average leaf length, average leaf width and in the average stem diameter,
It was proven in the study that Albatros Foliar Fertilizer is the best treatment for growing anthuriums followed by A-Growell Liquefied Fertilizer and Chicken tea manure, respectively. Hicher ‘percentage of nutrients available in the above fertilizers aided in the faster growth and development of the anthuriums, Chicken tea manure as recommended by the author proved to be a good substitute for commercial fertilizers because it is very effective though a lot of labor is required during preparation,
