Abstract: REÑA, JENNY M., ORDOÑA, KIMBERN R. Processing and Marketing of Cocoshanghai and Coconuggets, Undergraduate Enterprise Development Project, Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Crop Production, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. June 2022. The project was conducted at Central Market Ave. Brgy. Zone IV, City of Dasmarinas, Cavite. It aimed to apply agribusiness principles and new techniques in managing the Processing and Marketing of Cocoshanghai and Coconuggets. Moreover, the project was intended to enhance the knowledge and skills of the entrepreneurs in processing and marketing of good quality and healthy products. The product was made of pure vegetables such as carrots, bell pepper, celery and our main ingredient coconut pulp which are a great source of antioxidants, supports digestion, magnesium, fiber, and potassium, helps keep blood sugar levels under control, calcium, has vitamin c and beta-carotene. The project was operated as a partnership type of business. Pre-production activities include purchasing of materials and ingredients. Production activities include washing of vegetables, slicing of vegetables, mixing of ingredients, adding preservatives, packaging, storing, advertising, and marketing. During the processing, the student-entrepreneurs observed that it was not easy to know the shelf-life of the product because it was new and the idea of using coconut pulp as an ingredient to a widely known product is such a risk but by monitoring and tasting it every day, the student entrepreneurs knew that to be able for the product to consumed longer, it needs to be put on the freezer immediately. The product can be consumed for a week and a half. The processing was done once a week together with purchasing of the ingredients. Marketing of the product was conducted for 48 days. Packaging and storing was done right after the product was made. One pack of Cocoshanghai was sold P55.00 per 10 pieces and coconuggets was P45.00 per 10 pieces. It was sold to online customers, classmates, friends, and neighborhood. The operation cost for the entire two-month period of Processing and Marketing cocoshanghai and coconuggets amounted to P38,610.73 with gross income of 54,660.00 with a Return on Investment (ROI) 41.57%.
