Abstract: The farm practice report, "increasing the Yield of Corn and Mungo Through the Use of Complete Fertilizer" was conducted at Barangay Banaba Lejos, Indang, Cavite from December 1988 to March 1989. This project aimed to put into practice the theoretical knowledge and skills gained in the classroom of the student outreach agent and at the same time help increase the income of the fa-mer cooperator intercropping through the adoption of the modern techniques of intercropping corn and mungo. An area of 2,500 square meters was plowed and harrowed twice at an interval of one week to allow the seeds to germinate and to kill the harmful organisms and provide better soil aeration, Planting was done on December 2, 1988. Two to three seeds of corn were planted in furrows at a distance of 50 centimeters between hills while mungo seeds were planted by drill method. Application of complete fertilizer to both corn and mungo was done at the rate of 200 kilograms per hectare. Harvesting was done 65 days after planting for mungo and 95 days after planting for corn. A total of six gantas of corn was harvested and marketed at P15.00/ganta and a total of 35 gantas of mungo were marketed at P55.00/gantas. The cost and return analysis showed that after deducting all the expenses of P 1,234.00 from the gross income of P 2,015.00 a profit of P681.00 was obtained.
