Abstract: ABAD, RALPH JOHN A, and AGRON, YASMIN G. Level of Perception on the Importance of Factors Associated with Actual Demand and Supply for NFA Rice in Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Economics major in Agricultural Economics, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Dr. Gilchor Cubillo. This study aimed to determine the level of perception on the importance of factors associated with the actual demand and supply of NFA rice in Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to: determine the characteristics of the consumers of NFA rice in Cavite in terms of demographic profile and level of actual demand; determine if there is significant relationship between the actual demand for NFA rice in Cavite and consumers' perception on the importance of factors associated with the demand such as price, quality, price of related products and tastes and preferences; determine the characteristics of NFA rice retailers' in Cavite in terms of profile and level of quantity supply; determine the significant relationship between the level of quantity supply of NFA rice in Cavite and NFA rice retailers perception on importance Of factors associated with the supply such as price, quality, capital and number of competitors; and determine how National Food Authority facilitates the trading of NFA rice in Cavite. The study made use of descriptive design (quantitative approach) which involved 150 NFA rice consumers and 100 NFA rice retailers from Cavite. This study was conducted on the 23 municipalities of Cavite. It was found out that the consumers perceived price as an important factor in buying NFA rice in Cavite. Also, the result shows that there is no significant relationship between the level of actual demand and consumer's perception on the importance of factors associated with the demand. Like consumers, retailers perceived price as a very important factor in selling NFA rice in Cavite. The results show that there is no significant relationship between the level of quantity supplied and factors associated with the supply.
