Adviser: Mr. Angelo P. Olo A three—month field study was conducted at Immaculate Conception Rice mill located in Daang—Amaya, Tanza, Cavite to apply gained theoretical knowledge, skill s and tool s in agribusiness management into actual operation. Th s study aimed to determine the different operations and practices involved in rice milling, identify the problems encountered by remailers and apply remedies to solve these problems. The study covered the major areas of the business namely: production, marketing, organization and management of the business and the financial aspect. Gathering of primary data and information regard ng the milling activities was done through personal interviews with the manager, secretary , laborers, operators, and drivers. Financial data were obtained from the record books of the fi rm . I t was found out that the rice mill is facing problems on organization and management in determining the financial status of the business because some expenses and transactions with suppliers and customers are not properly recorded. This problem can be solved by keeping records for al l the transactions especially when money is involved . The manager or the grain stock control officers should learn how to keep records. There is also problem in production aspect the rice mill receives approximately 17 customers which they cannot accommodate due to unavailability y of drying area. In addition, with the rice mill 's limited facilities, additional milling from customers cannot be further accommodated. To solve this problem, the firm should rent an open area at least within a two—kilometer radius from the rice mill for drying and to rent another milling machine
