Abstract: PEJI, PRECY MAGLABE, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, March 1999"Production of Rooted Black Pepper Cuttings Using Hormex as Root Inducer". Prof. Adolfo C. Manuel, Jr., adviser. Production of rooted black pepper cutfings using Hormex as root inducer was undertaken at the Mixed Orchard and Nursery Project at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from October to December 1997. The objectives of the project were: to produce 1000 rooted cuttings, use hormex in propagation of black pepper and market the seedlings at the end of the project A total of 1100 black pepper cuttings were planted out of which 1000 cutångs successfully produced roots. After two months, the rooted black pepper cuttings were sold for P8.00 per cuttings. The project's production cost amounted to P4,733.39. On the other hand, the project generated a toul gross income of P8,000.00 from the sale of 1000 black pepper cuttings at P8.00 each. Upon deducting the total expenses from the gross income, the project earned a net income of P3,266.6t The computed Return on Investment of the project was 69.01%.
