DE RAYA, CELEDONIA V. "Effect of Different Amounts of Chicken Manure on the Growth and Yield of Bush Sitao". B.S. Thesis, Agronomy, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, April 1989. Adviser: DR. VICENTE G. LONTOC.
The study was conducted to determine the right amount of chicken manure which would give the highest yield of bush sitao. An area of 450 square meter was thoroughly pre-pared by plowing and harrowing it. It was divided into four equal blocks for the treatment; each treatment was further sub-divided into four subplots or replication.
The "Sumilang" variety of bush sitao was used. The chicken manure used in the treatment was prepared by mixing it with the soil before planting. Rate of two to three seeds per hill at a distance of 50 centimeters between the rows was maintained. Plants fertilized with 600 kilograms per hectare of-chicken manure out yielded other treatments in terms of number of pods, seeds per pod of 900 and 300 kilograms chicken manure per hectare.
