Adviser: Mrs. Eleanor G. Ersando The study was conducted at the Experimental Field of Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, from June 27, 1992 to October 18, 1992. This aimed to prove/test the profitability of growing baby corn and usual corn varieties here in Indang. An area of 986 square meters which was plowed and harrowed twice with an interval of one week was used in the study. A Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used. There were five treatments and three replications. The fol- lowing treatments were used in the study: T 1- Baby corn (Pioneer corn hybrid), T 2- Pop corn, T 3- Flint corn, T 4- Sweet corn, and T 5- Glutinous corn. The research revealed that baby corn production is more profitable and more economical than the usual growing cob of corn. Treatment 1 (Baby corn) obtained the highest number of marketable corn ears per plant, least number of non-marketable corn ears per plant, highest number of corn ears per plant, and gave the highest net profit.
