JIMENEZ, AVELINA TEAÑO, "TONY'S ICE BUKO". Under- graduate Case Study, Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, Don Severino Agricultural College, April 1993. Adviser: Mr. Roderick M. Rupido.
A six-week field practice was conducted at Tony's ice buko and ice cream manufacturing firm located at Highway, San Roque, Naic, Cavite from February 1 to March 13,1993. This practice enabled the student to apply the acquired knowledge, skills and tools in agribusiness management to actual life situations. Problems of the firm were identified and feasible solutions were recommended. It was found out that the current major problems that have greatly affected the production activities were brown- outs, frequent absences of workers, and inadequate supply of raw materials. To remedy the problems, the company should acquire at least two generators that will supply the power; workers who are frequently absent should be dismissed from their jobs and be replaced with workers residing far from the plant site; and, lastly, there must be a established con- tracts with farmers/producers of raw materials/ingredients so that the company will have regular and permanent sup- pliers of these items.
