The entrepreneurial project was conducted at the University Farm, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from April 20 to May 29, 2015. This aimed to develop the entrepreneurial skills in broiler production, give the students experience in broiler raising through hands-on activities, gain profit from the sales of broilers produced and to determine the actual cost and return of broiler production.
A total of 100 day-old chicks were raised. After rearing for a period of 39 days, the birds consumed a total of 238 kg of feed with the average feed consumption of 2. 38 kg per bird. The birds obtained an average final body weight of 1.40 kg. The derived feed efficiency was 1.73 and the computed harvest recovery was 98%. The project gained a net income of P 4,492.50 and a return on investment of 39%.
