Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management. Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Dr. Florindo C. Ilagan. The study aimed to 1) determine the demographic characteristics of the participants in terms of age, gender and civil status; 2) determine the kinds of rewards being provided by different companies in PEZA; 3) determine the level of job satisfaction; 4) determine the level of commitment of selected employees; 5) determine the significant difference in the level of job satisfaction when the participants are grouped according to their demographic profile; 6) determine the significant difference in the level of commitment when the participants are grouped according to their demographic profile; 7) determine the relationship between rewards and job satisfaction; and 8) determine the relationship between job satisfaction and commitment of selected employees in PEZA. The study used descriptive correlation design. Statistical tools such as mean, frequency, percentage and standard deviation were applied to interpret the demographic profile of the participants and to know the kinds of rewards being provided by different companies in PEZA. Mann Whitney Test was used to determine the differences in the level of job satisfaction and commitment and demographic profile of the participants. Point Biserial Correlation Coefficient was used to determine the relationship between rewards and job satisfaction and lastly, Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient was used to determine the relationship between job satisfaction and commitment. The outcome of the study showed that loans, certificate of appreciation and on- the-job trainings were affecting the job satisfaction of employees. It implies that rewards, monetary or non-monetary and job satisfaction were not always correlated, although there are instances that it might affect employee’s job satisfaction. The employees in PEZA were satisfied with their job and possess moderate commitment to their organization. Lastly, it can be concluded that job satisfaction and commitment were positively related.
