Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Agricultural Economics, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. April 1994. Dr. Luzviminda A. Rodrin, Adviser. This case study was conducted from December, 1993 to January 1994 at Cuaresma's Orchids Farm in Victoria, Laguna. The study aimed to provide the student with the chance to be familiar with the operation of an orchids farm. Specifically, it aimed to: 1) determine the production and marketing practices of the farm; 2) determine the cost and return in orchids growing of the farm; 3) identify the problems of the Orchids Farm with regards to production and marketing; and 4) suggest possible solutions to these problems. Management operation in the farm was not good because of the unsatisfactory performance of the laborer and _ the lack of knowledge in operating and managing the farm. The farm is also affected by the presence of pest and diseases of orchids. To increase the production of orchids, the manager/owner must give emphasis on the management operation of the farm. The participation of the manager and laborer in some seminargé could give them additional information and knowledge on raising orchids.
