AUSTRAL, SUSANA LLAMADO. "SAINT JUDE FARM: A CASE STUDY" B.S. Thesis, Agricultural Economics, Don Severino Agricultural College. Adviser: Miss Lorna V. Alcones.
This study was conducted to (1) analyze the management operations of Saint Jude Farm; (2) ascertain the profitability of the farm; (3) determine problems of the farm and (4) suggest probable solutions to these problems. The selected place of study was the Saint Jude Farm in Trece Martires City. Financial aspects, farm operations and management practices employed were considered as the primary data. The profitability of the farm was determined by computing the net income, and return on investment as well as the cost of capital. Results show that the profit obtained from the farm was affected by the production scheme adopted. Higher profits were ob-tained under the contract growing scheme because of technical advantage. The farm manager lacked the ne-cessary technical knowledge in poultry production, hence, the technical assistance provided by the in-tegrator proved to be advantageous and resulted to higher production efficiency.
