Abstract: An income generating project on "Multiple Cropping System of Corn, Peanut and Tomato" was conducted in Barangay Lumipa, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite from September 1985 to February 1986 to enable the student to put into practice the technical know how in maximizing production through the use of multiple cropping and to be familiar with the cultural management practices required by corn, peanut and tomato and the system of cropping them simultaneously. An area of one hectare (10,000 sq. m.) was plowed and harrowed twice with an interval of one week. After thorough land preparation, planting was done manually. Seeds of peanuts were set on the prepared furrows 20 cm. apart with three seeds per hill. Likewise, seeds of corn were planted 75 centimeters apart with three seeds per hill. On tomato, seedbed preparation was done first and seeds of tomato were evenly distributed on the prepared seedbed. Eighteen days after sowing the seeds, transplanting was done setting the seedlings 75 x 60 cm apart. Application of complete fertilizer (14-14-14). B was done prior to planting of peanut and corn. For tomato, complete fertilizer (14-14-14) was applied two weeks after transplanting. Second application of fertilizer was done using urea. In peanut and corn, off barring was done one month after planting and before the flowering of peanut, hilling up was done. In tomato, off-barring was done two weeks after trans- planting and two weeks after the first cultivation hilling up was done. Harvesting of peanuts was done when the leaves turned yellow in color or 90-100 days after planting. Corn was harvested when the corn husk and kernel was nearly glazed, this was observed 100-105 days after planting. Tomatoes were harvested when mature green fruits started to show cream steaks at the blossom end and when the breaker blossom end turned pinkish or reddish in color. This was observed 90-100 days after planting. Tomatoes were harvested three times a week for a period of two months.
