Abstract: A study on the effects of some water soluble supplements on the growth of broilers was conducted on December 27, 1977 to February 21, 1978 at the poultry project, Department of Animal Science, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. It had an aim of determining and comparing the effects of the water supplements. A total of one hundred (100) day old Arbor Acre Broiler chicks were divided into four groups of 25 chicks each lot. Each lot was designated as follows: Lot I. Control, Lot II. Terravite, Lot III-Univite, and Lot IV. Guad rovite. The chicks wore fed ad libitum with broiler mash. Three water supplements such as terravito, univite, and quadrovite were tested and supplemented to the experimental birds at the level proscribed by the manufacturer except the Control birds which were given with pure water alone. The same care and management was given to all treatments throughout the experimental period. All birds in the experimental lots obtained higher final weight than those birds in the control lot. Lot III attained the highest average final weight of 1526.88 grams, followed by Lot II with 1487.44. Lot IV had 1367and Lot I had 1221.48. The average -amount of feeds consumed to produce a kilogram gain in weight was lowest in Lot 111 with 2.30 kilograms, followed by Lot II with 2.40 kilograms had 2.60 kilograms and Lot I with 3.10. It was only in Lot I that mortality occurred. It had a mortality rate of four percent. Results revealed that the birds supplemented with water soluble mineral and vitamin supplements responded significantly, promoted growth, cut-off the rise of diseases and gave the highest average final weight. Bowyer, on the economic point of view of growing Arbor Acre Broiler chicks, Lot III had the lowest average costs of feeds and water soluble supplements to gain a kilogram of meat with 24.80, followed by Lot II with P4.90, Lot IV had 5.12 and Lot I with P5.30. Furthermore, on the average return per peso cost of production, Lot III gave the highest return per peso cost with p1.30, followed by Lot II with P1.20 and lot IV had P0.90 and Lot I with P0.80.
