Abstract: A farm practice training on "Intercropping Corn with Mango" was conducted in Pangil, Amadeo, Cavite from August to December 1986 to know the different techniques in intercropping corn with mongo. It also aimed to enable the students to integrate theoretical knowledge with actual field work. Planting of corn was done on August 27, 1986. Seeds were drilled in hills 50 centimeters apart. Twenty days after planting corn, mongo seeds were broadcast in between rows of corn. Three days after planting the mongo began to germinate while the corn seeds germinated five days after planting. The corn plants began to flower 34 days after planting while mongo started to flower 32 days after planting. The corn matured in the later part of November. Harvesting and gathering of mongo was done 73 days after planting while corn was harvested when the leaves and husks were dried and kernels were nearly glazed.
