The study was conducted from May 2016 to May 2017, to determine the level of influence of family and social interaction that predetermine alcoholism on high school students. Specifically, the study aimed to: assess the level of influence of family interaction that predetermines alcoholism on high school students; assess the level of influence of social interaction that predetermines alcoholism on high school students; and determine significant relationship between the level of influence of family and social interaction that predetermine alcoholism on high school students.
Descriptive correlation method was used in this study to determine significant relationship between the level of influence of family and social interaction that predetermine alcoholism on high school students. The participants were composed of 284 high school students. A self-made survey questionnaire was used as the main gathering tool for this study.
Based on the result of the study, the level of influence of family interaction on high school students got the verbal interpretation of "Moderate" with the total mean score of "3.22". This implies family is neither influence or uninfluenced in the participants to take alcohol. On the other hand, the level of influence of social interaction on high school students got the verbal interpretation of "Low" with the mean of "3.55". This implies that social interaction has low influence to the participants to take alcohol. Therefore, the null vii
hypothesis of there is no significant relationship between the level of influence of family and social interaction that predetermine alcoholism on high school students. The researchers concluded that the level of influence of family interaction was moderately influenced the high school students. In terms of habit this underlies in the causation stance of the engagement of every family members in alcohol the agreeableness and nonissue of alcohol in the family placement raise in a family that is already drinking alcohol. The level of influence of social interaction was low, in terms of close relationship with friends which underlies in the causation stance of the engagement of every peer relationship in alcohol the connectedness in the persuasion of drinking alcohol with friends and the desired to meet new friends. The researchers highly recommend to the family to have more time with each other, like recreational activities such as going to mall, spend time with their meal together that promotes a good and healthy family relationship. Furthermore, school, may have an activity that have a participation of the whole family like foundation or family day, a program that involves the family play as a whole so they can build a good relationship.
